Producers Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig announced Wednesday that the new Broadway-aimed musical with music and lyrics by pop star Cyndi Lauper and a book by Harvey Fierstein ("Hairspray") will have its pre-Broadway tryout in Chicago this fall, prior to Broadway, likely in early 2013.
